about
our workshopsThe Two Raw Sisters will host workshops for Year 7 and 8 students at 28 schools across New Zealand in 2024. The 45 minute workshops will be free to participating schools and cover:
- quick breakfast and dinner ideas - working with fruit, vegetables and other plant-based ingredients - substituting ingredients to use what is at home and in season - inspiration to get creative in the kitchen - life-long, practical cooking skills. Rosa and Margo will demonstrate two recipes from a recipe and activity handout students will be given to take home. Follow-up activities including two video workshops will be provided to extend learning in the classroom. |
Beyond our live workshopsOur resources and video workshops are openly available, so we can reach schools, tamariki and whānau beyond those that we teach in our live workshops.
In 2024 we have a COOK TO WIN prize draw to encourage tamariki and whānau to cook nutritious veggie packed meals together. Watching a video workshop whānau will learn tips on substituting ingredients, time saving cooking skills and tricks to including lots of fresh produce in meals. To enter the draw whānau then cook the dish using the ingredients they have on hand to put these new learnings into practice, then submit a photo of their delicious creation. |

Life Education is New Zealand's largest health education provider in primary and intermediate schools, inspiring tamariki and rangatahi to make positive choices about their health and wellbeing.
Along with our mascot Harold the Giraffe, our team of 45 health teachers work in 1,400 schools each year. Through the Healthy Harold programme, children learn how their body processes food, where their food comes from and how to maintain a healthy mind and body. Our workshops with the Two Raw Sisters build on students' knowledge and give them practical ideas to make meals with plants as the focus.

tWO RAW SISTERS
Margo and Rosa represent a youthful, fresh and engaging approach to food. Well-known for their entertaining workshops, best-selling cookbooks successful app, and catering business, Two Raw Sisters welcome all eaters into their kitchen.
Most people start their meals with meat, adding vegetables as a last-minute, boring side. Two Raw Sisters inspire and educate people to start their meals with plants and add meat/tofu/fish on the side, if they choose to. Keeping things as simple as possible, they only use ingredients that are cost-effective and readily available, making them taste fun and delicious.
Margo and Rosa's journey with food and nutrition began as a result of various health concerns. Their ethos is helping you and your whānau create a healthy, happy and sustainable lifestyle and they are looking forward to inspiring a new generation of cooks. As a registered nutritionist, Rosa’s extensive knowledge is interweaved into their recipes and workshop content.
