We love smoothies as a delicious nourishing breakfast or snack. You can pack in lots of yummy fruit and vegetables, and get creative with different ingredients! They’re also great way to use up any fresh fruit that is starting to get old.

butter chickpeas

Butter chicken will always be a favourite and we have made an even better under 20 minute plant-based version!

Chickpeas cooked in a homemade curry sauce using spices, tomatoes, caramelised onion and coconut cream. A delicious comfort meal to make and share with your whānau. Serve with cooked rice and cooked or fresh vegetables.

Banana bread balls

​These are little morsels of delicious raw banana bread cookie dough with chunks of chocolate.
​
They are a cheap snack, made with some key pantry ingredients. The only equipment needed is a blender - no cooking required! Instead of making a banana cake to use up old brown bananas, make a big batch of these.

    • How does it smell? 
    • What does it look like?
    • How does it taste?
    • How do you feel?

apple crumble porridge

Porridge is a delicious go to breakfast which is filling and will 
keep you energised for the morning.

This recipe makes apple the star of the porridge, but if you don’t have apples, you can grate a pear or chop up some stone fruit, feijoa flesh or even add in some berries - get creative!
